Medium Frequency Induction Furnace

The medium frequency induction furnace is made up of the frequency device, furnace body and stokehole control system. It also works together with continuous casting machine and rolling machine, and mainly used to produce billets, rebar, angle iron, H-shaped steel, I-shaped steel as well as other steel products.

Working Principle
The medium frequency induction furnace chooses the thyristor frequency converter as the mid-frequency power supply. The 3-phase power frequency alternating current is converted into the direct current via the rectifier circuit. Then, the DC is changed into the single-phase mid-frequency AC via the inverter circuit to supply power for mid-frequency coreless furnace. After that, in line with the principle of the electromagnetic induction, the work pieces are laid in the alternating magnetic field to generate eddy current so as to offer enough heat for the smelting, quenching and heating application needs.

Features
1. The medium frequency induction furnace utilizes the KGPS and IGBT frequency power supply, and the single or dual track power supply technologies. And the whole operation is PLC monitored.
2. As mentioned in the working principle, the medium frequency induction furnace learns from the electromagnetic induction theory to heat materials. Since the heat comes from its own work pieces, this product has advantages of fast heating, less oxidization and high heating efficiency. Meanwhile, metal materials can be uniformly heated, thus ensuring small temperature difference between core tables. Also, the temperature can be precisely controlled by the temperature controlling system, thus guaranteeing the repeat accuracy of product. Though the metal surface slightly decolorize, yet it can easily recover the brightness after being slightly polished.
3. Owing to the high heating efficiency, the medium frequency induction furnace consumes less power and rarely exerts impacts on the environment.
4. This product features high degree of atomization, which makes great contribution to the improvement of productivity.
5. Furthermore, each furnace body is designed with quick-change connectors of water and electrical systems. This makes that the furnace body can be conveniently and fast changed to suit different specifications of the work pieces.
6. The whole set of the medium frequency induction furnace has a sound protective system. Its starting-up system enables the furnace to be stably started even in the cases of overvoltage, over-current, lack of phase, etc.

GW represents the medium frequency induction furnace, --1 means the capacity is 1t, -500 means rated power is 500KW, /1means the working frequency is 1000Hz, /0.5 means the frequency of the melting furnace is 500Hz, --J stands for hydraulic tilting with the furnace body made of steel and the –JJ means the mechanical tilting with the furnace body made of aluminum alloy.

The above-mentioned equipment are conventional configurations and the medium frequency induction furnace can also be fabricated with other equipment, like leakage alarm, water temperature alarm, furnace change switch, lid mechanism, ejection system of furnace lining, transformer as well as the cooling device.
